Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Overview

Mama Moore Advocacy (“we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you visit mamamooreadvocacy.com (the “Site”) or use our services. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.

Information You Provide to Us

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you:

  • Fill out the contact form (name, email, phone, state/location, and the details of your message)
  • Request a free resource such as our IEP guide (name and email)
  • Book a consultation
  • Email, call, or text us directly
  • Become a client and share documents with us (see “Children's Information” below)

Information Collected Automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit the Site:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may process your IP address. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
  • Server and security logs. Our hosting and content-delivery providers (Netlify and Cloudflare) automatically log technical data such as IP address, request time, and pages requested in order to operate the Site, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

We do not run advertising pixels, we do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to your inquiry or consultation request
  • Send you the resource you requested and related follow-up communications
  • Provide advocacy services to you and your family
  • Communicate about appointments, services, and billing
  • Understand Site usage so we can improve our content
  • Protect the Site and our business, and comply with legal obligations

Children's Information

Our Site and services are directed at parents and caregivers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

In the course of advocacy work, parents voluntarily share information about their children with us — including IEPs, evaluations, and other educational records that may contain sensitive information about a child's disability, health, and education. We treat all child and family information as confidential: we use it only to provide advocacy services to your family, we share it with no one except as directed by you or required by law, we do not use children's information for marketing, and we will never publish information that identifies your child without your written consent. Please note that as non-attorney advocates, our communications are not protected by attorney-client privilege; see our Disclaimer.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate — currently Netlify (hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Resend (email delivery for form submissions), Google (analytics and fonts) — each of which processes data under its own privacy policy and only as needed to provide its service
  • People you direct us to communicate with, such as your child's school team or your attorney, as part of agreed advocacy services
  • Legal authorities if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property
  • A successor in the event the business is sold or reorganized, in which case this Policy continues to apply

Data Storage, Security, and Retention

Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email via Resend; we do not store form submissions in a Site database. Client documents and correspondence are kept in access-controlled accounts. We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to maintain business records, or as required by law, and we delete or de-identify it when no longer needed. Email and SMS are not fully secure channels — please do not send highly sensitive documents until we establish a method of exchange with you.

Your Rights and Choices

You may, at any time:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your family
  • Request that we correct or delete your personal information
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails (every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link)
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP
  • Block or delete cookies through your browser settings

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act); we honor reasonable requests from all visitors regardless of state.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. The Site does not currently respond to these signals, but you can limit tracking through the Google Analytics opt-out and browser cookie controls described above.

Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to external websites, including our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing them information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and material changes will be noted prominently. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
